Besix and Composil join forces to avoid carpet incineration

For the renovation of the former BNP Paribas Fortis offices in Brussels, BESIX contracted Composil to remove and recover all the building’s carpet.

Working with local partners based in Brussels, the project ran smoothly and once again demonstrated the high potential for carpet recovery in renovation projects.

The challenge for Composil was to recover nearly 18,000 m² of carpet while maximising opportunities for reuse.

Mission accomplished: 14,596 m² were sent to our recycling partner Tarkett Restart, and 3,200 m² were reconditioned and added to Composil’s reuse catalogue.
